How difficult can it be to update one’s website, I asked.
Very difficult, as it turns out.
Besides trying to stay on track with school work and life that has suddenly become extra challenging (to say the least!), I’ve been trying to get my website to look more “like me”, if you will. I’ve gone through 3 different themes in the last 4 months and extensive tweaks in each one, and the light at the end of the tunnel seems to be getting closer (and no, it is not an oncoming train) – FINALLY. Much sweat and tears has been shed, not only to make the theme do the things I want it to, but for me to also figure out what should go on it.
I know I’m not alone in my difficulty to figure out what is “good enough”. It’s a pretty common problem among the IGAD people I talk to, especially those prepping for their internship hunts. My personal internship hunt also carries on, albeit slowly. I need to continue applying, but finding the self-confidence to even allow for a chance of rejection is like climbing a mountain without arms and legs right now. I’m doing it full caterpillar style. *wiggles eyebrows*
As the application process to IGAD comes to a close for this year, I’m happy to hear back from a few of you who got accepted. Congrats to all those who got in, and good luck to those planning on applying again next year – or even switching to other schools. For you guys it has certainly been a roller coaster ride! 🙂
One more block to go until the end of this school year. Now THAT is scary.
Wish me luck! 🙂
